West Essex Knights Marching Band Breaks School Record For Highest Score

The Marching Knights are currently ranked No. 4 on the East Coast as they head to the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hersey Park, Pa., on Sunday.

The West Essex High School Marching Band broke the school record for receiving the highest score at the Chapter 10 Championships hosted by West Essex on Oct. 20.

The band came in first place for High Music, High Visual and Best Color Guard and scored a 92.95 at the Chapter Championships, where more than 20 bands competed.

The West Essex Marching Knights performed “The Rite of Spring: Recoiled” in the Group 2 Open Class part of the tournament.

The Marching Knights are currently ranked No. 4 on the East Coast as they head to the Atlantic Coast Championships in Hersey Park, Pa., on Sunday.
