The West Essex High School Volleyball Teams hosted the team’s annual Dig Pink fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Oct. 23.
The freshman, JV and Varsity teams played against teams from Mt. Saint Dominic Academy. All of the girls dressed in pink.
The West Essex teams made ribbons for the event and sold T-shirts. Mt. Saint Dominic Academy students baked many special treats for the bake sale.
Attendees paid $2 and received a pink ribbon. They could also purchase Dig Pink apparel. West Essex Volleyball Coach Andrea Mondadori said $1,439 was raised at the event, which was a big success.
UBS also generously matched the money raised.
