Washington, Lincoln School Students Mail Holiday Letters To Troops Abroad

Students from both schools created a total of 2,700 letters.

Lincoln and Washington Elementary schools students worked hard to lift the spirits of our service members abroad during this festive time of year by joining in  the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

The Mail for Heroes program provides handmade greeting cards to service members to help morale and provide our students with lessons in compassion and citizenship.

Students from both schools created a total of 2,700 and they will be forwarded on to service members by the American Red Cross.

This effort was coordinated by special education teachers Kristin Del Vecchio and Samantha Leone, and physical education teacher Sheila Zeman.
