Turkey Ride Benefits Human Needs Food Pantry

Join fellow cyclists to purchase and deliver frozen birds to local pantry.

Calling all cyclists!

The first "Turkey Ride" is planned for Sunday, Nov. 24, to benefit the Human Needs Food Pantry.

The challenging 15-mile ride starts at the Montclair Bikery, 145 Valley Road, and travels to Brookdale ShopRite, 1409 N Broad St., in Bloomfield.

At the supermarket, cyclists will purchase a turkey and ride it over to the food pantry at 9 Label St. back in Montclair.

The ride is free, but bring $20 to buy the turkey.

Riders will gather at 9:30 a.m. for bagels and coffee and leave at 10 a.m. Sandwiches and hot cocoa from Egan's will be provided after the ride.
