Trinity Academy Celebrates The Holidays With Reindeer Run, Christmas Concert

First-graders made and sold beautiful snowflakes to other homerooms to raise money for local families in need, and the Builder's Club collecting Toys for Tots.

Runners took their mark in the cold this month for the annual Trinity Academy Reindeer Run.

On Dec. 7, nearly 900 runners took part in the race and hundreds more cheered them on. Santa was also on hand for photos, along with local vendors for holiday shopping, and kids enjoyed games, rides and crafts.

The elves have also been busy at Trinity Academy creating a “Santa Shoppe” for students to purchase gifts for family. The kindergarten students enjoyed having their 8th-grade book buddies help them pick out perfect Christmas gifts for their family members.

But Christmas is also about giving at Trinity Academy. First-graders made and sold beautiful snowflakes to other homerooms to raise money for local families in need, and the Builder’s Club collecting Toys for Tots.

A few days after the Reindeer Run, the annual Christmas concert took place on the evening of Dec. 12. Students of all grades sand Christmas carols, the choir performed beautiful holiday songs, and 8th-graders concluded the event by acting out the Nativity scene.

Winter is also a time to stay active at the Catholic school. Boys and girls in grades 3-8 participated in organized leagues, and kindergarten and grades 1-2 students enjoy a basketball clinic. In addition, enrichment programs being offered this winter include swimming, golf and yoga.
