Caldwell College Senior Is Featured Speaker At School's President's Dinner

Elizabeth Hooban, a resident of Woodland Park, spoke about her community service at the annual dinner.

A Caldwell College senior was the featured speaker at the college's annual President's Society Dinner last month.

Elizabeth Hooban, a resident of Woodland Park, spoke at the annual dinner on Oct. 24 at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park about her community service during college. Her service included time repairing substandard housing in Appalachia and a mission trip in Belize to serve the poor.

“Being in Belize doing God’s work affirmed every dream, plan, and goal that I have for the next step of my life,” Hooban said.

As a result of those services experiences, she plans to do mission work after she graduates. The Caldwell College President’s Society is comprised of alumni, friends and other generous supporters who make the college a priority in their annual giving plans.

Hooban is a scholarship recipient and thanked those in attendance for their generosity that affords her and other scholarship recipients these kinds of opportunities.
