Kiwanis Club Donates $7,000 to West Essex First Aid Squad

'We are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to insure a safe and sound local community,' said Kiwanis President Mildred Fitzburgh.

The next time the electricity goes out, the lights will remain on at the West Essex First Aid Squad.

This week, the Kiwanis Club of Caldwell-West Essex donated $7,000 to the West Essex First Aid Squad for the purchase of a large generator that will ensure the squad can remain open during the next big storm.

Kiwanis President Mildred Fitzburgh, who handed off the donation to the squad this week, said, "We are a local club of a world-wide community service organization, we are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to insure a safe and sound local community where families can live securely and enjoy each other’s well-being."
