July 4th Ice Cream Social
Annual Ice Cream Social featuring street theater, flea circus, Medicine Man Show, 1860s Era Wet Plate Photographer, Marco the Magician, the balloon lady, a bee keeper, tours of the historic birthplace, children's games, a DJ, and opening ceremony at 1 pm at the flag pole. The Cloverleaf Tavern sells sliders and pulled pork with homemade chips at reasonable prices. Ice Cream from Gellotos in Caldwell, lemonade, popcorn, and water are free as well as ballooons, games, and family fun. Register on line for the cookie bake off, gcmuseum@gmail.com, enter, bake well, the cookie this year is the Sand Dollar, only 19th century ingrediants, and 2 copies of the recipe are necessary. the opening ceremony is at 1 and Thomas Jeffeerson will read the Declaration of Independance. Bring a blanket or a chair and enjoy the fun. Rain site, nearby Saint Aloysius's RC Church gym; please park for free in the church lot.
