Community Corner

Crop with the Crew 3

Venturing Crew 59 is holding
a fundraising Crop, an event for people who scrapbook, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00
p.m. on April 5, 2014.

The fee is $45 and includes
meals for the day, a goody bag for participants, and Crew members to help the
attendees carry their scrapbooking supplies in and out of the building.

Venturing Crew 59 of the
Caldwells was formed in 2010. Since then Crew members have gotten SCUBA
certified, gone camping, bowling, hiking, rock climbing, built a potato cannon,
taken trips to Hershey Park and Knoebels, and attended the New Jersey State
Police Jamboree, the West Point Invitational Camporee and Beach Jam at Morey’s
Piers in Wildwood. Members of Crew 59 hiked Philmont, the Boy Scout Ranch, and
last July. This past July eight members of the Crew will represented the Venturing,
the Caldwells, and Northern New Jersey at the Boy Scout Jamboree. This is the
first time that Venturing has been invited to the National Jamboree.
