Opinion: Now Is The Time To Get To Work, Says Cipoletti

To the entire community of Caldwell and West Caldwell, I ask for your support by getting involved in our schools.

The following letter to the editor was written by Dan Cipoletti, who was voted onto the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education in November's election.

I would like to share my appreciation to those who voted to elect me as a trustee for the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education.

In addition, I would like to congratulate Marie Lanfrank, as well as thank Rosanne Hansen and John King for their dedication and prior work with our schools.

I would also like to thank those across our community who endorsed me, those on my team who helped to share our platform and spread our message and anyone who provided encouragement along the way.

During the past few months, I have spoken to many in our community about our schools and my goals if fortunate enough to be elected onto the school board.  Everyone shared keen interest and varying perspectives.

Now that I am elected, it is my promise to work with the fellow members of the board, the administration and the community to continually improve our schools with the goal of being rated in the top 10 percent in New Jersey.

I will help to improve the technology our children have access to at all grade levels and to foster involvement and partnership with our local colleges, businesses and the community at large.

To the entire community of Caldwell and West Caldwell, I ask for your support by getting involved in our schools.  We have good schools. Let’s make them great for our children by continually improving and leveraging the experiences and expertise of our community.
