The following letter to the editor was written by Frank Rodgers, of Caldwell.

I would like to take this opportunity to ask for our communities to support John King and Dan Cipoletti in the upcoming election for the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of education.

I have known King for many years and commend him on the job he has done during his first term which warrants another chance to serve. King has a background in finance which has served him well throughout the budget process.

King has children that have gone through and are still in the school system. I believe these two attributes are important when navigating through various issues facing the board.

Cipoletti also has children moving through the system and possesses a financial background and would be an asset in aiding the board to make informed decisions regarding the budget process. Cipoletti is looking to focus on technology and communication between parents’ teachers and administration, which I welcome.

I believe that given their backgrounds and family situations, these gentlemen will be able to deliver the best education while remaining fiscally responsible.

On Nov. 5, please support our school system by voting for John King and Dan Cipoletti.

There are two two seats on the board up for grabs this November. Board members Rosanne Hansen and John King will seek reelection, and will be challenged by Dan Cipoletti, Marie Lanfrank and Charles Alberta.

The five will be on the ballot on the Nov. 5 general election. Both seats carry three-year terms.
