A North Caldwell man was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with transporting a PVC pipe stuffed with explosives without a permit, according to U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman.

Sandy Adds Two Days to School Calendar

Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools will add two days to the 2012-2013 calendar thanks to Superstorm Sandy. The district's board of education will vote this week on the superintendent's recommendation to open schools on Monday, Jan. 21 and Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Caldwell Burglar Linked to Crimes Around State

A man suspected of burglarizing five Caldwell restaurants in March has been tied to more than 150 burglaries in northern New Jersey over the last two years, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
