LAST CHANCE: Register for Percussion Camp

Summer percussion camp runs last week of June at Caldwell College.

has extended to Friday, June 1 the application and down payment deadline for an intensive summer percussion camp to be held June 25 to 29 under the direction of Alex Bocchino, a Music Department faculty member.

Students will receive private lessons and participate in master classes, daily percussion ensemble rehearsals and classes in technique, performance development and other percussion-related topics. Students will be exposed to new concepts and skills in all facets of percussion, including world drumming, drum set, classical percussion and percussion ensemble, and will develop new tools and ideas to carry them forward in their musical studies.

Clinicians and guest artists from the New York metropolitan area, including Broadway percussionists and national touring drum-set players, will demonstrate technique and teach students. The camp is open to drummers from middle-school through adult age. No audition is required.

Classes will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tuition for the full week is $480, with a $30 discount if paid in full by June 1. The daily rate is $125. Both rates include lunch. A $150 down payment is due by June 1. Checks should be payable to Caldwell College.
