Councilman Dom Aiello would like to set the record straight

Councilman Dom Aiello would like to set the record straight.

In these most difficult times my focus as a Councilman in West Caldwell is always on the well being and quality of life of my friends, family, neighbors and residents of West Caldwell. I have never bothered to take the time to respond to blogs that have attacked me or misstated truths - especially at times like RIGHT NOW! I always felt my time was better spent serving the residents of our town. I took an oath of office which I take very seriously and do not believe in politics as usual to serve one's selfish motives and more than anything else. I despise dirty politics in a local election because it has no place here and hurts families.

The West Caldwell Democratic council candidates have now posted 2 blogs on the Patch that somehow ties them to me or quotes me regarding this year's council campaign. They have twisted and distorted the truth and I am truly disappointed in them and appalled that they continue to stoop to this level.

I will not respond to any comments that are made to this blog nor will I get into a frivolous debate with those candidates. If the two Democratic candidates had something to say or debate they should have attended ONE council meeting this year but they elected not to and to just slander people in this form of media.

In conclusion and to set the record straight, I wholeheartedly support Stan Hladik and Tom O'Hern to be reelected to the WC Council. These two men have worked tirelessly for our town and have "EARNED" our support. They have done it the right way and continue to work hard and truly care about our town. The West Caldwell Council election is about getting the right people elected to serve our town and the right people for the right reasons are Stan and Tom. I ask our residents to focus on all the good that these two men have provided to our town and join me in thier support.

Our prayers are out to the residents of West Caldwell, the people of NJ and all of those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The West Caldwell Govenring Body will continue to help our resident in anyway we can.
