Our Featured Adoptable Pet: Rudy!

There are so many cats in shelters that have no reason to be there, Rudy is a prime example, he's well-behaved, affectionate & would make a perfect pet, but still he waits for someone to notice him.

RUDY

MY STORY:

I’d like to introduce myself to you!  My name is Rudy and I was rescued from a home where my owner abandoned me and my other siblings Remy, Brian, and Louie, but thankfully we were all given a second chance at the Wayne Township Animal Shelter.  At first we were all really scared being in a strange place, we couldn’t understand why we were in cages and were really sad that we no longer had a home.  My brothers have all been adopted into great homes awhile ago, but for some reason I still wait in my shelter cage and I just don’t understand why.  I’m a really good cat, very affectionate, a mellow guy and well behaved and yet I've been waiting such a very long time at the shelter for someone to notice me.  When people come to visit the shelter I try really hard to show them how friendly I am and let them know how much I want to come home with them, but sometimes they just pass me by to look at kittens.  But what they don’t know is that older cats can be even better pets because we are already house trained, don’t cause mischief and will be forever grateful that we were rescued from our shelter cage and given a chance in your home.  Remember, I was once a cute little kitten too!  Please come to meet me and maybe you can be my long awaited forever home!  I promise if you just give me a chance and stop at my cage for awhile you’ll love me, but not as much as I’ll love you for rescuing me.
