A two consecutive day Life Drawing/Painting open studio session is scheduled on July 17th and 18th. Our model will maintain the same pose for the two sessions allowing artists to complete their artwork in their medium of choice. Artists may leave their set up over night. This is a limited registration so call now to reserve.
Learn to capture the light of sparkling crystal glass in watercolor with artist Donna Read on 2 consecutive Wednesdays - August 7th and 14th. The nature of light is elusive and when it shines through crystal or glass the reflections are beautiful to behold but challenging to re-create. Knowledge of basic watercolor techniques is necessary for this workshop. Donna Read has been teaching watercolor for the past ten years winning many awards in prestigious exhibits. Her portrait of daughter Kirsten was accepted into the 2013 American Watercolor Society exhibit and is currently in the traveling AWS exhibit through 2013.

Saturday, September 28th Mel Stabin will conduct a one day workshop "Pushing The Envelope In Watercolor". Challenge yourself and go beyond your boundaries in watercolor. This workshop will encourage you to express yourself and to experience the uniqueness of watercolor and its spontaneous, unpredictable, and transparent qualities. All levels of experience are welcome. Mel Stabin, AWS, NWS is an internationally known teacher, author, and award-winning watercolorist. His workshops are casual and friendly allowing an easy, open dialogue with his students.
The primary goal of any workshop is not necessarily to produce a finished artwork – it is to try different techniques that you’ve never encountered before; it is to listen to someone who does things a particular way and who is explaining these ways to you; it is to suspend the way you think things should be done – just for the duration of the workshop – and experiment. Treat yourself to one of these workshops this summer. Call or e-mail for details and to register. 201 747 5969 ARTat1275@aol.com
