Visions for Vacancies: What Should Move to 627 Bloomfield Ave.?

The space became vacant when Grove relocated to 246 Bloomfield Ave.

It is time for another installment of The Caldwell Patch's Visions for Vacancies. This week, Patch asks: What should move to 627 Bloomfield Ave., in West Caldwell, the former Grove: Baskets & Gifts?

All possibilities are on the table. We ask you to forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump-lot coverage rules, and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

The space became vacant when Grove relocated to 246 Bloomfield Ave. The one-story retail space is located between 7-Eleven and West Caldwell Plaza, and across the street from the new businesses Let's Yo! and Pudsters.

The vacant store is situated on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Gray Street and is very visible to passing traffic in both directions.

What would you like to see move into the location? Another pizzeria? An Caribbean restaurant? Let us know in the comment section below!
