Meet Vera Bradley's Daughter at Pink Bungalow Shops

Vera Bradley Brand Ambassador to visit stores in Caldwell, Upper Montclair and Ridgewood.

Later this week, Pink Bungalow shops in Caldwell, Montclair and Ridgewood are hosting Joan Bradley Reedy, daughter of Vera Bradley and sister of Barbara Baekgaard, co-founder of the mega-popular brand of women’s luggage, handbags and accessories.

As Vera Bradley’s Brand Ambassador, Joan Bradley Reedy will share anecdotes about the history of the company, the distinct designs and the remarkable women who run the company. In addition to a Q&A session, she will be available to sign Vera Bradley bags.

According to the company website, Vera Bradley was created by Barbara Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller and named after Barbara's mother. The company was established in 1982 because the women, while waiting in an airport, noticed the need for feminine luggage.
