Jersey Mac's to Start Serving Dinner

Caldwell comfort food restaurant expands offerings.

Jersey Mac's owner Bob McLeod says his customers are always begging him to open for dinner. And so he is.

Starting this weekend, the Caldwell comfort food restaurant will have dinner seatings from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

The menu will include salmon, braised pork and an aged ribeye steak. Plus, there will be pot pies, burgers, chicken wings and other classics. Choose soups and salads for starters and desserts like brownies and ice cream and other American classics.

Chef Francois Chapelain, McLeod said, has worked all over Mexico, as well as restaurants in Montclair and the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Jersey Mac's until now has only served breakfast and lunch since opening in February of 2011. McLeod said the plan is to open for dinner on weekends at first and ultimately expand to weeknights.
