“What an honor! We are so proud of this achievement. It a true testament to just how far the craft beer movement has come, and how passionate and enthusiastic craft beer lovers are.

Everyone, from our staff, to local distributors and the craft breweries, all played an important part in this special recognition. But most important are our customers!"

The winners were announced last week. The local bar and restaurant was beaten out in the national rankings by Mekong Restaurant, of Richmond, Va., and HopCat, of Grand Rapids, Mich., numbers one and two, respectively.

Julia Herz, publisher of CraftBeer.com and craft beer program director of the Brewers Association, congratulated both The Cloverleaf Tavern and all the winners.

“In this second year of surveying beer lovers for the Great American Beer Bar competition, we’re excited to see both returning favorites and the newly honored,” said Herz.

“All of the participating bars in this contest are reflective of the diverse craft brewing movement. Their vibrant atmospheres parallel the passion and unique personalities that distinguish America’s small and independent producers.”
