Cedar Grove Restaurant Named Best Overall in North Jersey

Lu Nello lands multiple lists in Open Table's Diners' Choice Awards.

Lu Nello is not located in the Caldwells, but it is close enough to get a shout-out on The Caldwells Patch for being voted one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. 

Open Table, a site that lets you book reservations at restaurants around the country, as well as rate and review them, has announced Diners' Choice Award Winners is 21 categories. 

Lu Nello in Cedar Grove made the top 10 list, coming in at No. 10.

Lu Nello has garnered all kinds of praise since opening on Stevens Avenue in 1990. Reviewers on Open Table give the Italian Restaurant 4.5 out of 5 stars. 

One reviewer writes, "LuNello's is a tough spot to land a table, always crowded, but when you are lucky enough to be one of the fortunate who can dine at Lunello's, it is a great experience."

While the majority of diners who have commented are positive, not all were impressed. One called it a "let down," saying "Mother's Day dinner was extremely disappointing, poor service and lack of formality."

In addition to Best Overall, the restaurant made the list for Best Service, Best Food and Best Italian.
