West Essex Regional District Hires New Business Administrator

'I hope to bring my experience and background to West Essex and prove to be a strong asset to the District as a whole,' said Pan Hinman, the newly appointed business administrator.

West Essex Regional School District will welcome a new business administrator this school year.

Pam Hinman will take over as the district's business administrator starting Tuesday. Hinman, formerly business administrator for the Wharton School District, will take over for Mike Falkowsk. 

Hinman said she is very excited to start her new job.

“I hope to bring my experience and background to West Essex and prove to be a strong asset to the district as a whole,” Hinman said. “I love my job, I love what I do.”

Prior to working as the business administrator in Wharton, an elementary school district of 800 students for nearly four years, Hinman worked as the assistant business administrator in the Roxbury School District, a K-12 district, for more than three years. She has also worked as a school district accountant and an auditor and a comptroller for an ambulance company.

Hinman, a resident of Andover, has a master’s degree in accounting from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Texas.

The Board of Education appointed Hinman to the position on July 15. 

Falkowski, who retired from West Essex School District on July 1, will take over as the Ridgewood School District business administrator.

Hinman said she is looking forward to working with West Essex Superintendent Barbara Longo. “Mrs. Longo is a very strong and knowledgeable superintendent who is very involved in all aspects of the central office.”
