North Caldwell Science Program Takes Students On 'Voyage' Through Earth

This five-week program will be held at Grandview School from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 22.

A new science program will take students on a journey of discovery through the planet earth.

The North Caldwell Recreation Department and Explore Science will present “Voyage to the Center of the Earth," a five-session educational science program for students in kindergarten through third grade.

Children will participate in various projects which will help them understand the materials that make up earth, as well as what causes natural disasters. The voyage will begin on the top of earth's surface and then they will dig a little deeper and go on a mineral hunt and test the minerals they find, and then they’ll learn what role magma and movement of the plates beneath the earth play.
