Moe-Tion Dance Theater to Hold Children's Workshop, Benefit

Children will learn modern dance technique, perform at second annual benefit for dance company founded by Verona native.

Verona native Maureen Glennon and her dance company is inviting the community to the second annual Spend A Sunday with moe-tion dance theater.

Glennon, moe-tion's artistic director, and her dancers will teach a Children’s Creative Movement Workshop for ages 5 and up at All-4-Dance Caldwell Studio in Caldwell, on Sept. 29, from noon to 2 p.m.

Students will get an introduction to modern dance technique, play improvisation games and collaborate to create a dance piece which will be performed later that day at moe-tion dance theater’s annual benefit.  

The benefit will take place at 47 Gould Pl. in Caldwell and will include drinks, food and a performance, as well as a a Tricky Tray, Raffle and Door Prizes.  

Registration for the workshop is $25, including benefit admission. Tickets for the benefit are $20. Parents/guardians of registered workshop students are offered two benefit tickets for the price of one.

Glennon started moe-tion dance theater in 2007. The contemporary dance company has performed at numerous festivals, showcases and venues throughout the tri-state area.
