Taste of Broadway on May 4 at Mount Saint Dominic Academy promises to be an entertaining and memorable evening.  Sample choice wines from Fairchild’s Market
and an array of hors d’oeuvres from various chefs.

Our feature of the evening will be wonderful performances by Broadway stars Lawrence Clayton and Andrea Rivette.

Lawrence Clayton is an accomplished singer/actor whose talents have been featured on and off Broadway.  He recently starred, in a critically acclaimed turn, as Jean ValJean in the 25th Anniversary National Tour of Les Miserables.  Notably, Lawrence is the first African-American performer to play the role in the show's history.

His most recent New York appearance was as Montel/Jesus in “Jerry Springer the Opera” at Carnegie Hall. Broadway appearances include “Bells Are Ringing,” “It Ain't Nothin but the Blues,” “The Civil War,” “Once upon a Mattress,” “High Rollers Social Pleasure Club,” and “Dreamgirls”.

Andrea Rivette’s Broadway credits include Emma Carew in “Jekyll and Hyde”, and Ellen in “Miss Saigon”. In between concert tours, Rivetta has had the honor of playing her dream role, Fantine in “Les MIserables” at Theater Under the Stars in Houston, Texas. Her new CD is entitled “A Change in Me”. She lives in New York with her husband, Charles Pistone.
