Essex Photo Club Presents 'Top 10 Tips and Tricks for Better Photos'

Free lecture offered at Caldwell Public Library before reception for Essex Photo Club's annual group show.

Did you get a fancy camera for Christmas and don't know how to use it? Want to take better photos with your iPhone?

The Essex Photo Club will present award-winning photographer Nath Kaplan discussing "Top 10 Tips and Tricks for Better Photos!" at the Caldwell Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m.­­

“Photography is more popular than ever and many people would like to get better at it, but lack the time,” Kaplan stated in a release from the Essex Photo Club.

Kaplan will share strategies everyone can use to take better photographs, whether it be with an SLR, point-and-shoot or cell phone camera.

The discussion will be followed by a reception for the Essex Photo Club’s annual group photography show at the library. Photographs in the show are both conventional and digital and cover a broad range of subjects.

The exhibit is on display through the end of January in the Gene & Kathryn Collerd Local History Resource Room. 

The Essex Photo Club provides area photographers of all levels the ability to advance their knowledge and skills through monthly meetings, hands on workshops, trips, seminars, competitions and more.
