LAST CHANCE: Deadline for Student Art Contest

Theme of this year's Women's Club contest is "Springtime." Artwork will be displayed during Art on the Avenue on Saturday, June 9.

The Women’s Club of Caldwell is sponsoring a Student Art Contest in conjunction with the Caldwell Merchant’s Association on Saturday, June 9. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to participate in the contest. All entries must be submitted by Friday, June 1, to , 287 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell.

The theme of this year’s contest is “Springtime.” Student artwork will be grouped for judging in four categories; Kindergarten to Second Grade, Third through Fifth Grade, Sixth trough Eighth Grade and Ninth through Twelfth Grade.

Artwork will be judged on the originality, the artistic composition and interpretation of the theme “Springtime.” All artwork submitted will initially be judged by members of the Women’s Club of Caldwell. Finalists will be displayed at Art on the Avenue for final judging. The finalists will be judged by a group of independent professional artists.

First Place winners in each group will receive prizes. Ribbons will be given to First, Second and Third Place winners. The winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. on the day of the show. 

In addition, the First, Second and Third Place winning artwork in each category will be displayed at the Caldwell Public Library from June 16 to June 29.
