West Essex residents are invited to donate blood and help save a life by participating in the second annual “Roseland Remembers 9/11 Blood Drive.”
The blood drive will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 1 to 7 p.m., at Roseland Borough Hall, 19 Harrison Ave., in Roseland.
“I can't think of a better way to remember those who lost their lives and those whose lives will be forever affected by the devastating events of 9/11/2001 than to help save a life today by making a blood donation,” stated Roseland Mayor John Duthie.
Donors should weigh more than 110 pounds and be in general good health. Identification with signature required.
Non-fasting cholesterol and glucose screenings will be offered for free with donations.
