Cub Scout Open House For Boys in Grades 1-5

All are welcome to stop by and get information about joining the Boy Scouts.

The local Cub Scout Troop is looking for new members and will have an orientation meeting this month.

Boys in grades 1-5 are invited to the cafeteria at Trinity Academy, at 235 Bloomfield Ave., on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. for a meeting which will highlight the exciting opportunities of the Cub Scout Program.

Many activities are done on a family basis. The Cub Scout program focuses on strengthening the character, self-esteem, citizenship, teamwork, and physical fitness of boys in grades 1-5.

The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America is the nation's largest youth serving organization, serving families since 1910. In Northern New Jersey, approximately 250,000 young people participate in Scouting annually.

Boys in the first grade participate in the Tiger Cub program. The emphasis of the Tiger Cub program is building close adult/child relationships while introducing families to Scouting.
