Caldwell Square Dancers Elect New Leadership Team

Joe and Susie Gerish of White House Station were elected co-presidents at the Cross Trail Squares' annual meeting.

Cross Trail Squares is starting it 2014-15 year with some fresh faces.

The square-dance organization, which serves Essex, Passaic and Morris Counties, recently elected its newest leaders during its annual meeting.

Joe and Susie Gerish of White House Station were elected co-presidents. Alice De Lancey of Caldwell was elected first vice president. Doris Fera and Charlie Krueser of East Hanover were jointly elected as secretaries. Mary and Neal Aharrah of Caldwell are co-treasurers and class coordinators.

Cross Trail Squares hosts semi-monthly dances at Grover Cleveland Middle School in Caldwell during the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of the month during the school year.

Dances are open to people of any town no matter their skill level.

The next dance, which will also serve as an open house for the organization, will take place Sept. 9 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The event is free to the public.
