Rarely Seen Grover Cleveland Historical Artifacts, Photos Now On Display

This stunning historical collection, on loan from Caldwell resident Bob Markman, is comprised of authentic biographical, political, campaign, and commemorative items.

Stop by the Caldwell Public Library through the end of the year and see Grover Cleveland artifacts and photos. 

The library will display the Grover Cleveland Presidential Artifact Collection through Dec. 31 in commemoration of the Grover Cleveland Birthplace Memorial Association’s Ground Breaking Ceremony and Fundraising Event for the Grover Cleveland Birthplace Carriage House Visitor Center in September.  

Stephen Grover Cleveland was born March 18, 1837, in Caldwell. He was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States — the only president to serve nonconsecutive terms.

This stunning historical collection, on loan from Caldwell resident Bob Markman, is comprised of authentic biographical, political, campaign, and commemorative items. 

On display in this limited time exhibit is a two page, hand-written signed letter by President Cleveland, vintage photos, authentic campaign souvenir buttons and ribbons, medals, coins, U.S. stamps, and rare first-edition books including the very first 1887 “White House Cook Book” featuring First-Lady Frances Folsom Cleveland, as well as the official re-issue of “The Ceremony At Grover Cleveland’s Marriage” reproduced from Harper’s Weekly.
