Caldwell College Athletes, Mascot Spotted At Annual Street Fair

Caldwell College's mascot Cooper was also there to pose for pictures with the local children.

Caldwell College student-athletes volunteered at the 22nd annual Kiwanis/Rotary Caldwell Street Fair along Bloomfield Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

Twenty-six student-athletes representing all 12 of Caldwell’s intercollegiate sports partnered with the admissions department to staff the college’s tent at the street fair.

The Cougars handed out free tickets to the Caldwell concert series, tickets to the men’s and women’s basketball games for the upcoming 2013-14 season, calendars and mini basketballs.

Cooper, the college’s mascot, also was there to pose for pictures with the local children.

The student-athlete volunteers were organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, whose mission is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
