Broadway is coming back to the Caldwells.
Less than a month after their appearance at The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell, producer Neil Berg is bringing his Broadway Stars to West Essex Regional High School on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.
Broadway Shares: A Knight to Give Back, sponsored by the West Essex Foundation for Education and the West Essex Parent Teacher Organization, will benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Performers will include Sandra Joseph, the longest running leading lady in Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera; Lawrence Clayton, who has appeared nationally as Jean Valjean in the 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables; and Morgan Hecker, who played Betty Lou Who in the Broadway National Tour of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Danny Zolli from Jesus Christ Superstar also will be joining the Broadway Shares cast.
The evening will also include a variety of performances from West Essex High School’s award-winning choirs, band, orchestra and dance team.
Attendees are asked to bring donations for shelters and hurricane disaster relief centers. Suggested items are school supplies, snack food, pet food and supplies, baby food and diapers, blankets, new winter gloves, work gloves, hand sanitizer, new packaged socks, canned food, bottled water, batteries, toiletries and cleaning materials.
Tickets are $25. All proceeds will go to “The Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund.” To order tickets, go to broadwayshares.brownpapertickets.com.
If you can’t come, you can still make a donation to “WE Share.” Send checks to the WEFE mailbox at West Essex Regional High School, 65 Greenbrook Road, North Caldwell, NJ 07006.
