BALAM Dance Theatre (BALAM) premieres Dancing Warriors, a spectacular dance performance featuring Balinese, Japanese Noh, French Baroque and Spanish dance, followed by Iaido (Japanese sword) and period fencing, on Sunday, March 23 in Leonia, New Jersey.  The non-profit, professional dance theatre company will perform its new Out & About series program at the Leonia Public Library, located at 227 Fort Lee Road, from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.  The library is handicapped accessible.  For further information, contact the Leonia Public Library at 201-592-5770.

The New York City-based company offers a new vision of contemporary dance by combining ballet, modern and diverse cultural dance styles from around the world and historic periods with Balinese theatre.  This latest program from BALAM’s community service Out & About series features the company’s artistic director Carlos Fittante and principal dancer Toshinori Hamada in beautiful, traditional costumes.
