West Essex to Host Marching Band Competition

The West Essex Marching Band will host the Tournament of Bands Chapter X Championship  on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1-7 p.m. on the grounds of West Essex Regional Schools in North Caldwell.  Chapter Ten serves all of North and Central Jersey. The winners of the competition will move on to the Atlantic Coast Championship in Hersey Park, PA. The West Essex Marching Knights will perform “The Rite of Spring: Recoiled” in the Group 2 Open Class part of the tournament later in the competition. Other bands scheduled to participate are: Rutherford, Raritan, Lenape Valley, Al Johnson, Lodi, Union City, Carteret, Brick Township, Sayreville War Memorial, North Bergen, Hanover Park, Toms River North, Tottenville, Memorial, Roselle Park, Madison, Matawan, Governor Livingston, Brick Memorial and Ramsey high schools.
