West Essex Observes Take Your Child to Work Day

Children of West Essex staff spent a day "at school" conducting science experiments, enjoying physical education activities and even story time in the library, all part of "Take Your Child to Work Day" at West Essex High School.

Children went to the High School Library where librarian Rosemary Rich organized many special activities including games, play tattoos, drawing and a special visit from Princess Elsa from the movie "Frozen." The princess (actually senior Karyn Towey in a friend's princess-style prom dress) read the book "Frozen" to children and posed for photos.

This was a popular event with all of the young girls attending. However, Zach Gupta, a fifth grader from Lincoln Park and son of Director of Curriculum and Instruction Ryan Gupta, said he preferred playing basketball and other sports in the High School gym and doing science experiments. "I like hanging out with my Dad," Zach said.
