West Essex High School Chinese Classes Celebrate New Year

West Essex High School Chinese Classes celebrated the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Horse, on February 4.

Students enjoyed special candy and dumplings, created Chinese paper cuttings and learned about different ways people celebrate the new year by watching videos and doing research online. Ms. Ni also shared a presentation to her students about the 15-day celebration and how families eat oranges for good luck and decorate their living rooms with pretty blossoms.
