New West Essex Seventh Graders Enjoy Library Scavenger Hunt

West Essex Middle School Librarian Catherine Spinella organized a special scavenger hunt in the library last month for seventh graders to help the new students become more familiar with the library.
Students had to find the free bookmark section, the bookdrop, the nonfiction section and sports. They also had to learn to use the online catalog .Marisa Lotito, a seventh grader from Fairfield, found the bookmark section at the West Essex Middle School Library during the Library Scavenger Hunt. Reading teacher Mrs. Lanaya Torres showed students Sebi Morrello, Kyle Gutowski and Vasili Tsilionis where they could return books at the book drop. Elyssa Stabile and Mia DeMeola found the nonfiction section of the library for the scavenger hunt. "This was very helpful because I did not know where the different book sections were," Mia said.
