National Football Foundation Recognizes West Essex Coach and Football Player

The Essex County Chapter of the National Football Foundation Sports Awards Program has recognized a West Essex Athletic Coach and a Football Player for their achievements.

The foundation presented West Essex Strength Coach Dave Drozjock with an Outstanding Contributions/Lifetime Achievement Award. Drozjock, the retired West Essex Football Coach,  said he was thrilled and honored to receive the award.
West Essex Athletic Director Damion Macioci congratulated Drozjock. "I think it is outstanding any time a staff member is recognized for outstanding achievement," he said. "Coach Drozjock is a true professional who exhibits all of the qualities we want to have in an athletic coach. I am proud to have the opportunity to work with him."

Macioci also announced that the Essex County Chapter of the National Football Foundation Sports Award Program has recognized West Essex High School Senior Peter Norton. Peter was named a Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. Peter said he is proud to represent West Essex and honored to be recognized. "I think it is outstanding any time a student is recognized for outstanding achievement," Macioci said.
Peter, a resident of Essex Fells, plans to attend the University of Wisconsin in the fall.
