Today is the first day of 2014! 

Ring in the new year with a stroll through Historic Caldwell on Wednesday starting at 11 a.m. beginning at the Grover Cleveland Birthplace, at 207 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell. 

The walk is a slow and easy 2 miles. After meeting at the birthplace museum of Grover Clevealnd, the walking tour will proceed to Grover Cleveland Park, then to the Old Burial Grounds at the Presbyterian Church and finally return to the birthplace.

All are welcome, including dogs on leash welcome (but the canines will not be permitted inside any historic buildings). Wear walking shoes or boots.

Wednesday is the final day of the Caldwell-West Caldwell School District's winter vacation. Students will head back to the classroom on Thursday.
