The West Essex Regional School District will begin its holiday recess at the end of Friday. 

The West Caldwell Public Library will show its weekly free Friday afternoon movie starting at 1 p.m. This week's movie is "To the Wonder," rated R. For information, call the library at (973) 226-5441.

Lunch will be served for seniors Friday at Grover Cleveland Senior Center, at 1 Provost Square in Caldwell. There is a suggested donation of $3. For reservations, call (973) 403-4637.
