The Caldwell Borough Council will convene Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a business conference in borough hall. The West Caldwell Council will also convene Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. for a meeting in town hall. 

Learn about the artist Henri Matisse at the Caldwell Public Library on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Create colorful cut paper collages inspired by his work. For children in grades 3-5. Registration required. For more information, visit www.caldwellpl.org

Caldwell Public Library will present Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. the Essex Photo Club's exhibit reception and talk by member Warren Marchioni. 

The award-winning photographer will describe the history of stereo photography and how to create your own 3D photographs. Special 3D glasses will be provided to the audience.

Throughout January, the annual Essex Photo Club group photography show will be on display at the library, featuring conventional and digital photography by members on a broad range of subjects. For more information, visit www.essexphotoclub.org.

The Livingston Senior/Community Center, at 204 Hillside Ave., will host "Savvy Social Security planning: The New Face of Retirement — The Critical Years Before and After Retirement" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The years before retiring are very critical to establishing a healthy retirement, so Joe Zingone, an author and educator, is here to help. 

Zingone has written six books and is certified by IRS/AARP on all three levels as a volunteer tax preparer delivering a much needed service to the community.
