The 1920s In Retrospect 

Popular lecturer and local historian James Gardner will present a slide-lecture entitled The 1920s on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road.

Explore the 1920's, commonly referred to as the Roaring 20s or the Jazz Age. This decade was full of interesting people and events such as President Calvin Coolidge, Charles Lindbergh and his famous flight on the Spirit of St. Louis, the stock market crash, the era of flappers, Louis Armstrong, Charlie Chaplin and much more.

This program, sponsored by the Historical Society of West Caldwell and the Friends of the West Caldwell Public Library, is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. To sign up, library at (973) 226-5441 or visit  http://the1920s.eventbrite.com.

Heavenly Treasure Christmas Concert

For the third year in a row, Out Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Roseland will host Heavenly Treasure, a concert of sacred and secular music. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be presented by internationally known vocalists from The BRAVO Alliance of Performing Artists and by members of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Choir, who have performed on New York and New Jersey television as well as at the Vatican.

Adult tickets are $25 and $5 for students in grades K-12. Group tickets for 10 or more adults purchased at the same time are $20 each.
