Trinity Academy Hosting Back-to-School Prep
As summer winds down, Trinity Academy will offer a three-day back-to-school prep session for children entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall. The purpose of the Ready...Set...Restart Your Engines session is to help children refresh their academic skills before the start of the new school year. The program will be held on Tuesday, August 21; Wednesday, August 22; and Thursday, August 23, from 9 am – 11 am. It will be held at the Trinity Academy campus, located at 235 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. Students do not need to be currently enrolled at Trinity Academy to participate; the program is open to all area incoming kindergarten and first grade students.
The program will be run by Trinity Academy primary education teachers Nancy Lentini and Leslie Salazar, and will help children refresh their reading, writing and basic math skills in preparation for the new school year. Skills and concepts will be taught using hands-on activities and games, enabling children to “restart” their minds after a relaxed summer. The three-day session will provide children with a fun, educational activity during a time when many other camps and recreation programs have ended. The program is free, but space is limited.
Even though it's still summer, starting to get your child into school mode now will make things easier on him or her come September. To register for the Ready...Set...Restart Your Engines program, please email Nancy Lentini at firstname.lastname@example.org before August 20. Register today and bring a friend!
