It’s a Royal Celebration for Pushcart Players
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! All Are Invited
Pushcart Players will celebrate 38 years of bringing theatre to young audiences throughout New Jersey and beyond with “A Royal Celebration,” a fundraising event to be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Montclair Art Museum.
The afternoon will feature a performance of “Happily Ever After…A Cinderella Tale” followed by a Tea Party at the Palace, complete with dilectable food and drink, behind-the-scenes tours, photos with a favorite character from the show and the opportunity to tour the Montclair Art Museum. Pushcart Players will also host a silent auction during the afternoon tea. Attendees can bid online prior to the event, beginning May 13 at www.biddingforgood.com/njtheatrealliance/pushcartplayers. The online portion will close the day before the event. A sampling of auction items includes: House seats to “hard to get” theatre productions, vacation packages, signed memorabilia, unique art, stunning jewelry items, dress up trunk for girls, dress up trunk for boys, personalized cooking classes, Tea Sets fit for Royalty and much, much more.
The advance sale admission cost for this benefit performance and delightful reception designed for all ages is $25 for children (12 and under) and $45 for adults. AboutPushcart Players: Since 1974, Pushcart Players has been performing at schools and other locations around the country, averaging 400 performances a year. More About Montclair Art Museum
The Montclair Art Museum (MAM) opened in 1914 and is one of only a small number of museums dedicated to preserving American and Native American Art. In addition to collections featuring George Inness, Morgan Russell, the McMullen Family Gallery, and Native American Collection, MAM now displays contemporary art works along side folk pieces. A variety of educational programs are offered through MAM. SummerART offers a kids' camp as well as studio classes for adults and teens. The Yard School of Art holds classes for seniors, adults and youth year round.
