During the month of January, the Caldwell Free Public Library will host the Annual Essex County Photo Club's Photography Exhibit, featuring both film and digital images. The exhibit will be available for public
viewing during the Library's normal operating hours.


On January 23rd at 6:30 PM there will be a reception for the Essex Photo Club, followed by a lecture given by Nath Kaplan: 10 Tips and Tricks for a Better Photo. Mr. Kaplan is the past president of the Essex Photo Club. Photography is more popular than ever and many people would like
to try their hand at it but don't have the time. The program "Top 10 Tips and tricks for Better Photos!" will provide simple tips that everyone can use to get better hotographs. These tips can be used with cell phone cameras, point and shoot cameras or SLRs.

The Caldwell Public Library's resources are available to the general public, but only registered patrons may borrow library materials.

North Caldwell residents can borrow materials from the Caldwell Public Library upon payment of an annual fee.  The library card is valid for one year from the date of registration for North Caldwell residents.

An inter-local agreement between the towns of Caldwell and Essex Fells allows Essex Fells residents to borrow materials from the Caldwell Public Library.  For Essex Fells residents, the library card is valid through the end of the calendar year of registration.

Children, kindergarten age and older and young adults are eligible for a library card. For children under the age of 18, the youth's parent/guardian must provide proof of identification. The parent/guardian must sign the child's registration card.  Potential patrons must present personal identification with proof of current address to obtain a library card.
