DESCRIPTION:The mission of CASA for Children of Essex County (Court Appoi
 nted Special Advocates) is to protect the welfare of children who have b
 een removed from their homes because of abuse\, neglect or abandonment b
 y providing a safety net of support\, advocacy and mentorship. CASA trai
 ns and supervises volunteers to speak up for the best interests of these
  children in court\, to ensure that each child has the opportunity to th
 rive by receiving needed services and assistance while helping to move t
 he child towards a safe and permanent home.\nOn Sunday\, March 3\, 2013\
 , Essex CASA will be holding our 5th Annual &ldquo\;Spin for a Child&rdq
 uo\; fundraiser in 3Sixty Cycling Studio in Montclair. Three of our staf
 fs will be spinning this year and we are hoping to raise $1\,500 for our
  team\, CASA Crusaders. Last year this one event raised over $70\,000 ne
 eded funds.&nbsp\; Our nonprofit organization\, spend $1\,200 per child 
 for one year of advocating.&nbsp\; Join us in making the futures brighte
 r for children and teens in foster care. Last day to donate is March 16\
