The Blood Center of New Jersey (BCNJ) is in a Severe Emergency Blood Shortage situation and needs all those who are eligible to please donate.

Since the recent snowstorm, which lead to many drives being cancelled, BCNJ has reported having a blood supply of only one day. (seven to ten days is the norm).

In addition to the snow storm, the freezing temperatures have impacted the number of donors coming out to donate and many people who want to donate can’t because they are sick with colds and flu.

The standard daily orders, of blood and blood products to our New Jersey hospitals, has been reduced to less than one quarter…..and BCNJ predicts this situation will get worse in the coming weeks.

Please help us by donating for the patients in our New Jersey hospitals we require life saving transfusions.
