UPDATED: West Caldwell Police Collect Donations for Hurricane Sandy Victims
Donations can be brought to old KB Toy Store on 911 Bloomfield Ave. from Sat. Nov. 10 through Mon. Nov. 19.

The West Caldwell Police Department will be collecting donations of household items to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.
“Please remember that many people left their homes with only the clothes they were wearing,” police said.
They will be accepting non-perishable food, new toys, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and all kinds of household items.
Donations can be brought to the former K-B Toys Store on 911 Bloomfield Ave. in West Caldwell, between Sears Hardware and the New York Sports Club.
Collections will be held from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. starting on Saturday Nov. 10 through Monday Nov. 19.

The collection ends Sunday 11/18/12 at 8 pm. Monday 11/19 is the transport day.

The West Caldwell Police are looking for non perishable foods, new toys, household items, cleaning supplies, new clothes, new underwear, hygiene products etc. Imagine that you lost everything.... What would you need?

We have been asked by South Jersey Officals to only accept only NEW clothes. Any coats that are delivered will be donated to the annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive which begins Next Week, at the West Caldwell Police Headquarters. No used clothes can be accepted at this time.

I have lots of new sweatshirts, fleece pullovers, flannel pajama bottoms that we would love to donate. Both youth and adult sizes. I will stop by with them this week. Is someone there to collect in the evening? Ellen Kreil

I have 3 bags of clean, hardly ever used toys. They are not new but in good clean shape. I usually donate them to war vets around the holidays but I would rather donate to victims, are you only excepting new toys also?

Hey Chief. I was down there Saturday and couldnt get rid of the stuff. I had a pickup full and they wanted NO clothes. They said blankets and cleaning things. I came back with half a truck. They seem to have more clothes then they know what to do with

At the request of Jersey Shore towns that we are bringing supplies too, we are no longer accepting USED clothes. Toys are welcome, as are cleaning supplies, pet food, personal hygiene items, can and dry food and diapers baby food as well as cleaning supplies. Thank you all. Drop off hours are 8 am to 8 pm until Sunday 11/18/12.

Hi....we are a girl scout troop in MN, and our 4th graders did a toy drive. We had a huge response, so we're looking for a few places to ship them to. Lots of new and some gently used toys, games, books, etc. Please advise if there's an address we can ship to, or someone to contact to get them in the hands of the children. Thank you!

JCHS is having a clothing drive to benefit project graduation if you want to get rid of the extra clothing. They would be glad to have it. It cna be dropped of at the auditorium entrance of the school.
