Here's what you need to know this week in the Caldwells.
—The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education is back after summer break. The BOE will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Harrison School on Gray Street and is expected to announce the new vice principal for James Caldwell High School and other teacher appointments.
—West Essex and CWC schools were spruced up over the summer. Look for a story on what students can expect to find on the first day of school.

Would be nice if they could have announced the appointments earlier so the schools could send out the teacher assignments earlier than the week before school starts
